Local First Arizona
Local First Arizona (LFA) seeks to promote, support, and celebrate a vibrant and sustainable Arizona economy by educating citizens about local business ownership, social equity, cultural diversity, environmental kinship, and collaboration.
Founded in 2003, LFA is a statewide non-profit organization working to advance the dual goal of establishing vibrant and culturally unique businesses at the forefront of the state’s identity, as well as creating a sustainable and healthy region through the implementation of diverse local economies.
With nearly 2,000 members, LFA works to drive consumers to make local choices using inventive marketing strategies that include printed micro local maps, social media, and family-oriented events. In addition, LFA works to advance business-to-business support through monthly workshops, networking, financial socials, and a business directory.
LFA works to creating policy change at both the city and state level in two key areas that are essential to the future health of Arizona: procurement and land use. LFA encourages public policy that enables locally owned and operated businesses to thrive and advocates for smart growth throughout the regio
