Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA)

Established in 2005, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) is a non-profit organization that seeks to unite and promote locally-owned, independent businesses in the Louisville Metro area through a variety of member-focused networking events and annual promotions such as the hoLOUdays Contest and “Independents” Month. LIBA also produces the Buy Local Fair—an outdoor showcase of local businesses, musicians, artists & craftspeople, chefs, community organizers and farmers who participate as vendors. LIBA has active work groups in West and South Louisville to support the growth of independent businesses in those neighborhoods. LIBA’s message about the importance of buying local is communicated through the “Buy Local First” and “Keep Louisville Weird” campaigns.
