Tara Ritter
Finance and GRASS Manager for the Growing GRASS project
Tara Ritter is the Finance and GRASS Manager for the Growing GRASS project, a 5-year, $35 million USDA-funded project to develop a verification system and markets to increase the profitability and production of regeneratively grazed beef and bison.
Prior to this position, she worked as a project manager at the University of Minnesota. She managed the KernzaCAP project, a USDA grant to build a perennial grain crop enterprise based on Kernza. She has extensive experience working to advance climate and agriculture policy from her 8 years at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy in Minneapolis. She also lived in Columbus, Ohio, where she researched farm-level decision making around nutrient management and soil health practices.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College and a Master of Science in Environment and Natural Resources from The Ohio State University. She holds a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Minnesota./p>
