CALL4CLIMATENOW CAMPAIGN

The next few months provide the best opportunity in a generation to pass important climate legislation to put our nation on a path to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

NOW is the moment to use your powerful voice as a business to help take advantage of this moment. The American Sustainable Business Council (ASBC) is joining with the Climate Collaborative (CC) in the #Call4ClimateNOW campaign CC created with Fossil Free Media to encourage the American public to call our nation’s lawmakers NOW and urge them to address the threat of our changing climate.

The 250,000 businesses represented by ASBC encompass every size and sector across the nation, and we’re asking our members and other businesses to reach out to their stakeholders to encourage them to call their Senators and Representatives to ask them to support bold climate action NOW, specifically to invest at the scale of the climate crisis including:
• A Clean Electricity Payment Program that cuts pollution and modernizes our grid.
• Directing 40% of climate funding to frontline communities who are hit first and worst by the climate crisis
• No more subsidies for fossil fuel corporations.
• A Civilian Climate Corps that puts people to work.

#Call4ClimateNOW will provide businesses with a toolkit including images, sample social posts for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, talking points and even advice on what to do when you get pushback from some people.
