The objective of ASBN’s Climate & Energy working group is to
discuss and identify key problems, solutions and strategies
to address the climate and energy crisis our planet is facing.
Global temperature has been on the rise, with the first decade of
the 21st century the warmest on record. Overwhelmingly,
scientists agree that man-made climate change is occurring.
Climate events are indisputably more frequent, more severe and
more destructive. Yet many policymakers have avoided meaningful
action to reverse these effects, sometimes claiming that
addressing climate change would hamper businesses and the
economy. The opposite is true.
ASBN is committed to continue educating and engaging
business leaders to advocate on behalf of market shifts and
public policy change to advance renewable energy, support a
carbon tax, the Green New Deal, sustainable infrastructure, the
climate strikes and other efforts.
