The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Army Corps of Engineers have proposed a rule that would sharply restrict which water bodies are protected from pollution and destruction under the Clean Water Act. This “Polluted Water Rule” would open the door for polluters to dump into and destroy more wetlands, streams, and waterways than at any point in the past fifty years.
