ASBN is Leading the Way to a Regenerative Economy: Sustainable Businesses Are Driving Systemic Change
New ASBN website, member benefits and equitable pricing model highlight the bold actions and resilient voices of sustainable business in the face of economic and political uncertainty.
Washington, DC – The American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN) is more than just a network – it is a it’s a catalyst for action – giving our members, who collectively represent over 200,000 bold, innovative businesses, a central hub to drive advocacy, collaboration, and systemic change. By connecting sustainable businesses, advocating for smart policy, and providing the resources needed for real change, ASBN is amplifying the voice of sustainable business and leading the way to a regenerative economy.
Now, ASBN has opened membership to individuals, emerging businesses, and small businesses, making it easier than ever for anyone passionate about sustainable business practices to contribute to building this new economy. In addition, ASBN’s new membership equitable pricing model prioritizes equitable dues and Equity Ally pay-it-forward options.
ASBN’s equity pricing supports those who need financial assistance. Members can choose to become Equity Allies by contributing 15% or more to help fund equitable access for others by paying it forward. In this way, members can support one another to have the same opportunities to thrive.
ASBN’s work embraces a holistic approach, fostering a unique space where businesses can learn, advocate for actions and transparent governance at the national level, and seamlessly connect with state and local initiatives within the same network all under the banner of a unified sustainable business voice to amplify their influence.
“Business leaders are frustrated with what’s happening on a federal level–just more quietly now and behind closed doors. But this “greenhushing” makes them feel more isolated and disenfranchised,” says Camilla Taylor, Executive Director of ASBN. “ASBN is providing a focal point for business leaders’ frustrations with our current economy. Our members are changemakers championing sustainable policies, advancing regenerative economics, and advocating for responsible supply chains, and ethical governance. In the next economy, being pro-business means being pro-stakeholder and success will come to those with a supportive network to back the issues they care about.”
ASBN’s newly updated website reflects this vision, ensuring that messaging is clear, digestible, and accessible. By removing barriers to information and action, the site makes it easier than ever for sustainable business leaders to engage in systemic change.
ASBN serves as an umbrella organization encompassing ASBC and ASBI as two complementary affiliates. The website seeks to clearly define each entity and showcase how they create a powerful synergy, aligning advocacy, education, and collaboration to drive systemic change.
Since its founding affiliate ASBC’s origins in 2009, ASBN has been at the forefront of some of the most impactful business-led policy initiatives in the country. From leading the business effort to secure a fracking ban in New York to helping stop the Keystone Pipeline and shaping the Federal Main Street Employee Ownership bill, ASBN has consistently used the power of business to drive meaningful change.
“Our members understand that our collective voice and power can make a difference in moving towards a more just and sustainable economy and society. And we need that voice more than ever,” says David Levine, Co-founder and President of ASBN. “The businesses we work with are proving that an economy centered on stakeholder-driven, regenerative practices is not only possible but essential for long-term prosperity.”
The transition to a regenerative economy is happening now, and ASBN is ensuring sustainable businesses are leading the way. To learn more about how ASBN is shaping the future of business, visit asbnetwork.org.
