2026 Election Threats and Actions Companies Can Take

March 25 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Series Description:

Each month we will dive into a topic with experts available to answer questions and present the important information that connects to your business and advocacy efforts.

This Month:

It’s clear, the integrity of the fall midterms are at serious risk. Earlier this week, PresidentTrump called for the elections to be federalized. He noted “The Republicans should say, we want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting,” On Tuesday, Steve Bannon, still a figure of considerable influence in the administration, noted, “We’re going to have ICE surround the polls come November, … we will never again allow an election to be stolen.”

As was the case in 2020, the business community can play a significant role in promoting a fair, free and secure election in 2026. Given the escalating rhetoric, statements and actions of the administration it’s time to start understanding the threat and organizing. The February 26 th interactive, online meeting, is a part of ASBN’s Policy Forum webinar seriess, focusing on the relationship between a free election system and a stable and functional constitutional democracy. We’ll hear from experts identifying various threats, risks and vulnerabilities facing our election infrastructure this year.

We will cover:

  • Election Landscape – current and emerging efforts by the administration and their allies to undermine how states and communities run elections (e.g., vote by mail, voter registration, certification processes, DOJ interference, the SAVE Act)
  • Specific threats facing state & local officials – this includes misinformation, intimidation, political violence and election system security.
  • Steps business can take – employee voter education, time off to vote, poll worker recruitment, material support to election officials and speaking up to defend the integrity of the election system.
