Businesses for Affordable Energy Sign-On Letter

Businesses for Affordable Energy Sign-On Letter

Energy bills are squeezing businesses across the country — and Washington needs to hear from you.

Utilities have requested or approved billions in rate hikes nationwide. Electric bills are up 11% since last year. For manufacturers, restaurants, contractors, retailers, and small business owners of every kind, these costs aren’t abstract — they’re coming out of payroll, out of margins, and out of the ability to grow.

That’s why we’re asking you to add your name to the Business Leaders for Affordable Energy open letter to U.S. House and Senate leadership.

This is not a partisan effort. It never has been. The letter is signed by business owners from across industries and across the political spectrum — united by one shared concern: the energy costs killing our bottom lines. The ask is simple: Congress must remove barriers to new energy supply and bring more affordable, reliable power online faster.

More supply means lower prices. Lower prices mean stronger businesses. Stronger businesses mean better communities.

The deadline to be included in the initial release is May 8. Individual business leaders across every sector are encouraged to sign the letter, so please share it with colleagues, owners, and executives in your network. We also welcome business organizations to add their name too.

This is one of the rare moments when business owners across the country are speaking with one voice on an issue that affects all of us. We’d be honored to have you join us.
