The values that ground Indigenous businesses are naturally regenerative. These include listening before doing, giving back to community, caring for the environment, acting for the benefit of future generations, and putting care into relationships. 500 years of ongoing colonization has purposefully prevented Native peoples from entrepreneurial activities in the mainstream economy, but today a handful of organizations are incubating Native entrepreneurs across the US. Supporting the revitalization of thriving Indigneous-led economies requires a trauma informed, wellbeing driven approach with lessons that any regenerative enterprise can benefit from. In this panel, youll hear from expert practitioners at JumpScale and New Mexico Community Capital about their approaches to fostering the next generation of successful and innovative entrepreneurs in places that have been historically dismissed.
